THISS Technologies has developed a unique combination of satellite terminals and hub systems, particularly applicable for mobile, stabilised ultra-small terminal applications. The technology allows the use of miniaturised satellite antennas and terminals, whilst still meeting satellite co-ordination regulations - plus provides exceptional antenna tracking ability.
The use of smaller satellite terminals at a given frequency band means: lower terminal cost; new market opportunities for smaller vessels and extremely remote sites as well as lower shipping and installation costs. THISS marine satellite terminals allow for operation on smaller vessels, or users with modest communications budgets. With this, users can get access to affordable Internet and voice communication services for both for operational activities and crew welfare. Our current focus is on Ku-Band maritime solutions, however we have also applied our technology other ultra-small satellite terminal solutions at various frequency bands. |
