MINIATURIZED MARINE USAT
TECHNOLOGY MAKING MARITIME COMMUNICATIONS COMPACT & AFFORDABLE
|
Marine VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) is the perfect solution for broadband IP maritime satellite communications at sea, because of the high data rates achievable at a reasonable airtime cost. However, until now, the size, weight and cost of the on-board stabilised VSAT equipment have limited their use to only the largest of vessels and communications budgets.
The 0.6m Ku-Band Marine USAT (Ultra Small Aperture Terminal) breaks this traditional size and cost barrier, so that many more people can benefit from the combination of low airtime costs plus low equipment costs. |
PROVEN PRODUCT - THOUSANDS OF VESSELS INSTALLED
The modem (with in-built antenna control function) and antenna were designed together to work as a tightly integrated terminal solution. This unique approach provides excellent stabilized antenna tracking performance. The data interface is an IP router for simple and standard integration with Internet applications and backhaul infrastructure. The integrated antenna controller / modem / router provides a graphical web-based user interface for easy of configuration, installation and monitoring.
"You guys have created a really amazing terminal. The antenna tracking is awesome" - Marcio Esteves, CEO Mareste Equipamentos e Serviços de Telecomunicação Ltda
The terminal employs our patented air interface and allows integration with the THISS' web-based NMS and DAMA systems for the provision of fit-for-purpose Internet and private IP networks.
We have extensive experience on special projects & custom products utilising ultra small C-Band and even smaller Ku-Band terminals. If you have a special project or customisation requirement, please contact us to discuss it further. |
