Executive Management Team

The key executive staff within THISS have all held senior management positions within major corporate satellite enterprises, including Inmarsat, Intelsat, Xantic, Optus, and NEC. The Founder Directors have successfully operated their own private consultancy businesses for many years, as well as being Directors of successful start-up companies.

During their careers the Executive Management team have been responsible for the development of a number of leading satellite related systems and technologies including the world first regional telephony network Optus Mobilesat, successful Inmarsat Mini-M and M4 products, Satellite News Gathering (SNG) and various Broadcast and Internet access services.

However, most importantly, the management team have experience in the development of applications and services related to mobile telephony, facsimile/data and high speed mobile and fixed satellite services used for video, internet (IP) as well as bespoke private network applications including VSAT's, used by Defence, Fisheries and other government and corporate networks.

Chief Technical Officer - Nicholas Hart

Mr. Nicholas Hart during initially his senior management roles with AUSSAT, and Inmarsat, and later as an independent consultant has established credibility and track record with the major mobile satellite operators around the world.
 
Operations Manager - Gregory Verne Tan
Mr. Gregory Tan, Manager Service Integration Manager has had over 7 years experience in Research and Development of leading edge technology. Mr. Tan commenced his career performing research in 1995 at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Sydney.
 
RF Development Manager - John Craggs
Mr. Craggs has over 38 years experience in the communication industry with the last 27 years as a Senior Experimental Scientist with CSIRO. He played an important role in the research and development of Interscan, a microwave instrument landing system that has now been adopted as the worldwide standard. He was then responsible for the development of several antenna test ranges at CSIRO.
