THISS Technologies has developed a unique combination of satellite modem and antenna technology, for both fixed-site and mobile operations. The technology allows the use of novel small-sized satellite antennas and terminals, whilst still meeting satellite co-ordination regulations.

The use of smaller satellite terminals at a given frequency band means: lower terminal cost; new market opportunities for smaller vessels and extremely remote sites as well as lower shipping and installation costs.

THISS core product offering is a C-Band marine satellite terminal that allows smaller vessels, or users with smaller communications budgets, to have reliable connections. With this, users can get access to affordable Internet and voice communication services for both for operational activities and crew welfare.

THISS has also developed a miniature C-Band terminal that facilitates the dependable delivery of telemetry data to a central location from remote locations, on a relatively frequent basis.

The same technology can readily be applied to create smaller satellite terminal solutions at various frequency bands.
