THISS Technologies was incorporated in Singapore after a seed funding arrangement between the founders and Singapore Technologies, in June 2003. Since that time, several rounds of investment have been received.
In the early years, the company focussed on Research & Development. Core technology development areas included;
- Antenna design
- Burst CDMA modem design
- Network/DAMA system design
Various patents have been awarded to THISS Technologies as an outcome of these R&D programs.
In the last few years, THISS Technologies has applied the core technologies developed to the creation of products which address various current market needs in the satellite industry.

- ST Electronics (Satcom & Sensor Systems) Pte Ltd is a well known satellite and radio equipment manufacturer with a wide range of products, distributed globally.
- MPA - The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is responsible for the regulatory and safe passage of vessels in the Singapore region, including the Singapore and Malacca straits. MPA also works with Port of Singapore (PSA) in the management and support of port facilities in various countries.
- Spring SEEDS Capital - are charged with attracting, nurturing and supporting companies and is working closely with MPA in the development of Singapore as one of the maritime service centre's of the world. Spring SEEDS Capital have contributed over US$1 million in financial support, and offers strategic advice and connections to the global market.
